- Negation in the Bantu languages (employing the database we have built at SOAS).
- Associated motion in the Bantu languages (ongoing joint work with Rozenn Guérois and Bastian Persohn).
- Variation in Swahili – and how this is linked to space, time and identity.
- Culturally sustaining pedagogies.
- Meditation and how it keeps me going.
